Europe-wide charging network from Bosch grows to over 150,000 charging points
The Bosch charging network already includes more than 150,000 charging points that drivers of an electric car can access via a central app platform. The group now offers access to one of the largest charging networks in Europe. For this purpose, the company concludes contracts with the operators and ensures the technical connection of the charging points, for example via roaming.
In Germany, Bosch has already connected over 27,500 charging options. The rest of the currently more than 150,000 European charging points are available in 16 countries. Access is possible with Bosch's own “Charge My EV” smartphone app or through the connected providers. Users pay with a previously stored credit card and receive an overview of their charging costs every month via the app.
“Charging has to be easy and seamless for everyone. The intelligent charging services from Bosch are an important key for broad acceptance of electromobility, ”says Elmar Pritsch from the Connected Mobility Solutions division. Bosch wants to continue to grow its charging network: By the end of 2020, around 200,000 charging points will be integrated across Europe.
